We exist to expose and address a national crisis hiding in plain sight

Justice for Mothers is dedicated to enforcing accountability, ensuring access to justice, and ending the cycle of financial abuse against mothers and their children.

THE SYSTEM FAILED. MOTHERS PAY THE PRICE

THE CRISIS

Justice for Mothers was founded by Stacey McCallister Bent, who discovered a troubling reality after her own divorce: despite court orders and legal victories, enforcement of child and spousal support remains an uphill battle for millions of mothers across America.

Over 10 million American mothers are directly impacted by this crisis — and every taxpayer indirectly. We believe there is a system. We believe children and mothers are protected. We believe that justice prevails. These are the illusions that allow the truth to be ignored.

FROM SILENCE TO STRENGTH

OUR PURPOSE

Justice for Mothers is more than a project. It's a movement — and there's a role for everyone.

We are fighting for enforcement, accountability, and access to justice. But we are also fighting isolation. Silence. Shame. The feeling that you are invisible inside a system that pretends to care.

We are a community space and movement — a meeting place where women can come together, share strategies, support one another, and begin their own pro se journeys. We are also a platform where legal professionals, law students, and others who believe in justice can offer help to make a difference.

WE RISE TOGETHER

If you’ve been through it, you are not alone. If you see what’s wrong and want to help, you are needed. If you believe in justice — not just in theory, but in practice — this is your movement. Join us, in any way you can. Because when the system fails, we rise.
